How to recognise hidden stress in high-performing teams

Learn how stress sneaks into even the best teams, how to spot it before it spills over, and how breathwork can help build a workplace culture that stays calm under pressure.

THURSDAY 2ND OCTOBER, 1PM BST

In high-performing teams, stress often flies under the radar — showing up as tension, silence, or a sudden dip in performance.

It’s not about lack of motivation. It’s about what’s happening in the nervous system.

This session gives you a new way to recognise those early signs — and introduces a science-backed technique your team can use to stay calm under pressure.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

✓ Recognise the subtle signs of stress before burnout shows up in big ways

✓ Explore the “Stress Bucket” model — what fills it, what overflows it, and why standard fixes often fall short

✓ Learn the key behaviours that signal your team is feeling stretched or stressed.

✓ Understand why regulation, not just recovery, is the missing link in team performance

✓ Experience one simple, science-backed breathing technique to help “empty the bucket” in real-time

I’m not just a breathwork coach — I’m a Special Mission Captain with 5000+ flight hours and over a decade of experience performing under pressure.

As my company’s Human Factors Manager, I lead performance and resilience training across 5 bases and 4 aircraft fleets, translating topics like decision-making and effective communication into practical tools for professionals.

When I’m not flying low-level over the sea, I work with brands like Passenger and Protostream to help ambitious teams stay calm, collaborative, and focused, even when work is demanding.

I’ve shared my tools and insights at adventure and wellness festivals, including Adventure Bike Rider Festival, Dartmoor Outdoor Festival and Camp VC.

Outside of work I enjoy pushing my comfort zone and putting breathwork into action. My ambition is to one day compete in a desert rally on motorbike!
